BOCA MURALHA . the benevolent

.

In the bodily rhetoric of honor: The signs for recognizing those most suited to this profession are a lively, alert manner, and erect head, a taut stomach, broad shoulders, long arms, strong fingers, a small belly, thick thighs, slender legs and dry feet.”_ Michel Foucault on Discipline and Punish

BOCA MURALHA - the benevolent, presents a scenic research about the relation between protocols and impetus from a state of confrontation, in order to build up a spectacle of disciplines and practices of war, imposing an evanescent process o unfolding the body, where each piece is exposed, as if it was an animal.
It is established a normative set of regulations between the correlations of two bodies, drawing a political anatomy of detail, based on specific character-archetypes:
The soldier - the honour and the military discipline of control
The convict - the flesh, the victim, the murderer
The furies – mythological and insatiable impulse of revenge and justice.

BOCA MURALHA - the benevolent is the final PIECE of the trilogy REI about archetypes of power and violence.
